A quick note...

Change is afoot

A brief update for all my subscribers and followers:

Frond & Feather is undergoing a little refresh right now (i.e. I’ve been sitting at my desk all day grappling with Canva and my thesaurus, working on logos and new names).

But seeing as Substack is a platform for writers, I’ve decided to keep it simple and professional. Just my name, a short tagline…and that’s it. Email accounts updated. All the usual admin that I find mildly confusing but doable, almost dealt with.

I’m celebrating - tentatively - with a cup of tea.

I started out as Mitenska (on Blogger - remember that?) then moved on to the Frond & Feather website and blog, print journal and brand of sorts. And then: here. But I’ve been considering a change for a while now. And so it’s on its way.

Using my name (pronounced Sol-tuh-NO-vitch; it’s a mouthful) leaves me feeling slightly vulnerable somehow. I can’t hide behind something more abstract; this is me and I’m out there for all to read and, if people want to, criticise. Not that criticism happens very often. Which is reassuring.

And so anything landing in inboxes will (should) have a different name. Same me though.
